BCU students' union condemns Browne proposals
Birmingham City University Students' Union has condemned the move to scrap the cap on tuition fees.
Proposals contained in the Browne Review into Higher Education Funding pave the way for fees to be hiked to £7,000 or more per year.
In a news release, the union says it fears a return to the "bad old days when the rich went to elite universities while others had to make do with a ‘bargain basement’ education at under-resourced institutions, if anything at all."
